3·11 months agoHome Assistant users I know love the way it integrates all their smart devices together, but say they find making good dashboards difficult.
Same here. And all these dashboard developments have made more fancy features, but have not made the whole thing any easier so far.

The feud between Musk and Apple over satellite service pits the world’s richest man against one of the world’s most-valuable companies.
Now see what happens with too much de-regulation and “freedom”
Muuhahaha…

2·11 months agoI am using one and I found it quite unreliable. Sometimes too sensitive, catches motion that happens far away. Often blind, just ignores the most obvious motion.
Plan on combining it with sensors of other technology to compensate that.
Even the simpler AI models can simulate ‘management’.
What we don’t have is AI’s that simulate your everyday asshole bosses.
What we don’t have either is AI’s that simulate fair, decent, smart, and empathic bosses.

he also removed the director of the office
So there is no actual director.
the governor basically handed very broad control of cybersecurity to the national guard in a very underhandeded way hoping nobody would notice
This might be the core. But what does it mean now?

Let’s call it the “Hegseth switch”

It is not only critique. There’s much more in it. For example, there are lots of suggestions how to do it better, in many different aspects. This thing hasn’t been written in an hour.
