Maybe not burr size exactly but I’ve had an experience with grind size on my fellow ode being the difference between extremely bitter almost burnt taste and good taste on the same beans for pour over.

32·3 months agoIf you’re looking for more compact than powerful asustor has this https://www.asustor.com/en/product?p_id=91 12 nvme sticks with 8tb per stick would give you 96tb of storage in that small form factor. Only problem might be how much power you’d get out of that processor but you can bump the ram up to I think it was 96 gigs
If it gives you any hope I’m pretty sure Apple uses jpegxl for their pro mode raw compressed format. Apparently they did that change with last year’s iPhone so there’s still hope.

Interesting so they’re using secure boot to hardware ban but I could see used hardware being an issue now :/

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•The Lossless Scaling FG Plugin Has Released To Controversy - Steam Deck HQ
15·7 months agoLooks like there was an update:
Update 7/14/25: Pancake has just posted a new update on the Decky Plugin controversy on the Lossless Scaling discord server:
Hello everyone! I’d like to clear up some things after the previous announcement, which caused way too much unnecessary drama.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been talking to both Deck Wizard and Kurt (xXJSONDeruloXx on GitHub), who is the creator of the Decky plugin. The situation we got into was caused purely by poor communication, so we sat down and discussed the future of the plugin together.
Let’s get into the news then. The Decky plugin will remain unofficial and unsupported in this discord, not as a means to discourage using it, but rather to keep the growing load of support away from me, as I have barely anything to do with the plugin. Together with Kurt and Deck Wizard we’ve fixed the major labeling issues in the plugin, as well as created an update video on Deck Wizard’s channel that you can watch here: Future support with the Decky plugin will happen in the Discord server linked in the video description and depending on which category your issue falls into, you may be forwarded to this discord instead.
In the future, some pretty big changes will be coming to lsfg-vk which will likely require a portion of the plugin to adapt. I will be working with Kurt to get the changes into the plugin as quickly as possible, however this warrants a whole other announcement and I can’t promise any timeframe (it could be hours, days or weeks).

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•The Lossless Scaling FG Plugin Has Released To Controversy - Steam Deck HQ
121·7 months agoDoesn’t seem like that much controversy. Just a plugin that got released early in development and will have to be rewritten at some point. I’d probably hold off until a full release but early showcases I’ve seen of it seem really promising and I’m excited to see the completed version.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Discussion: Do you think the next steamdeck will be x86 or ARM?
1·8 months agoIs ram that’s used on arm chips usually lower power than x86 or can they be interchangeable?
I’ve gotten one of these a while ago when it was relatively new. Had a few weird interactions with vr and other monitors with it in terms of video needing to be resync’d I’m assuming. Overall it’s a great monitor visually just had some mild weirdness personally that may have been due to the specific one I got or my setup.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•What games did you get down with over the holiday weekend?
6·9 months agoBought and played helldivers 2 for the first time. Would’ve originally bought it on release but I was sused out by the game protect program. Seems like it’s been fine for most people up to now so I went with getting it finally.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Steam Deck sales still going strong over three years later
9·9 months agoThe main appeal for the deck to me is the ability to run games well on lower wattages. Sure the other options can run games better than the deck but it seems like you want handheld efficiency/battery life over better performance for less battery then the deck is the main choice.
I don’t think temtem is affected as much by this since they’re not a studio based in Japan.
