That last part is so true, some people are just miserable and want to spread that misery to others to make themselves feel better

Even before AI I stopped asking any questions or even answering for that matter on that website within like the first few months of using it. Just not worth the hassle of dealing with the mods and the neck beard ass users and I didn’t want my account to get suspended over some BS in case I really needed to ask an actual question in the future, now I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to any stack website and it does not show up in the Google search results anymore, they dug their own grave

And how many other bikers do you see around you when you ride, 1 or 2 maybe, it’s a niche hobby not a means of daily transportation for most, go visit any Asian country to see what using bikes as a daily transportation looks like, the streets are chock full of bikers and it’s a mix of men and women, young and old

And you know there’s dummies out there who will want this as well. I’ve never not been disappointed with our species

Bikes are not a good investment in western countries with long winter seasons, it’s dangerous and uncomfortable to ride in cold conditions, so stuff like this is purely for rich people to use as recreational toys in the summer

This sounds like document collaboration software like Google sheets where multiple people can edit a document at the same time

I randomly downloaded Subnautica when it was free on Epic for a bit and it became one of the best games I’ve ever experienced, it’s equally peaceful and scary and I had a lot of fun exploring the biomes and finding Easter eggs and getting grabbed by big red lol. Sad what happened with the company that made it, I didn’t like subzero as much, hopefully someday I come across another game that hooks me like this game did

I’m taking at a device level not at a component level, think mackbook vs framework laptop

You don’t even hold the hardware if it’s not user repairable, customizable or upgradable

I had more fun just hunting and camping in the wilderness in that game than playing the actual missions. It looks beautiful, the voice acting and story is great

But imagine the latency and network bandwidth issues, there’s a reason most companies moved away from the huge central framework model to distributed computing

In the world of AI vibe coding, I don’t think so, they will push people even more towards web apps I think

AI companies have rich connected evil people backing them these people don’t

So the issue is that AI strips the provenence of the open source contributors and then the output it spits out based on the data it consumed is not subject to the same open source licensing that applies to the open source projects, and these AI companies make profit from this but the open source contributors don’t see a dime. We’ll that’s kinda always been the case though, so many amazing open source projects get coopted by tech giants like Microsoft and then repackaged as proprietary software for a profit, embrace, extend, extinguish, but back then they needed a team of developers to do that, now it’s more automated I guess with AI

What the fuck happened to UK, I knew their average population was dumb when brexit happened but they doubled down on it?

Oh no won’t someone think of the shareholders

I guess they harvested enough user data by now and don’t need to give it away for free anymore, well it had some uses but not enough for me to pay for

Most people either can’t or don’t want to think beyond a certain level
Do you think they won’t just ban the Chinese products lol, this ain’t a democracy bud
