At MarketMate, we're on a mission to address the overwhelming challenge of managing inquiries and negotiations on platforms like Kijiji and eBay.

How we built it

Through the sheer will and trust in God we made it happen. They ain't believe in us....GOD DID!!!! Jokes aside we built it using react for the frontend and mongoDB for the backend.

Challenges we ran into

The program required access to the marketplace which was difficult to understand on how to accomplish. We came up with a solution at some point that involved using a fetching feature with Facebook marketplace.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we came here and actually executed an idea and didn't procrastinate(we may have a little lol).

What we learned

The importance of coming in with a plan makes or breaks a hackathon. Utilizing every hour can be the difference between a failed project and actually making something your proud of. Next time we'd like to come up with something a little earlier and have a well thought out execution plan.

What's next for MarketMate

Hopefully we will be able to improve the overall functionality of it and make an actual product in the future. It may be little difficult but with some research on policies and the rules of these platforms I'm sure we'll be able to find a loophole to take advantage of and automate it.
