Inspiration

Health and stress are two of the biggest problems students and young professionals face today. Many people experience headaches, body pain, and mental stress but often ignore them or do not know simple ways to track or manage them.

Our idea for Life Pulse – Smart Wellness Tracker came from observing how people struggle to monitor their physical pain and emotional stress in daily life. We wanted to create a simple application where users can quickly check their wellness, track pain visually, and reduce stress through small interactive activities.

Our goal was to design a clean, easy-to-use wellness tool that helps people understand their body and mental state better.

What it does

Life Pulse is a smart wellness tracking app that helps users monitor their physical and mental health through three main features:

  • Pain Tracker
Users can select pain areas on a body diagram and receive suggested relief methods and medicines based on the selected pain.

  • Stress Tracker (Balloon Game)
A small interactive game that helps users relax and reduce stress while also tracking their stress level.

  • Social Battery
Tracks a user's mental energy and helps them understand when they might need rest or a break from social activity.

All these features are presented in a simple dashboard interface to make health tracking quick and accessible.

How we built it

We designed and developed the project using a combination of design and development tools:

  • Figma – UI/UX design and prototype creation
  • Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) – building the interactive components
  • Modern UI layouts – to create a clean and responsive interface
  • Interactive elements – like the balloon popping game and body map selection

The focus was on creating a minimal and user-friendly experience that anyone could use easily.

Challenges we ran into

During development we faced several challenges:

  • Designing a body diagram pain selector that allows users to choose different pain areas.
  • Implementing the balloon game reset functionality correctly so the game restarts smoothly.
  • Making sure the pain relief suggestions vary depending on the selected body part.
  • Keeping the interface simple while still providing useful wellness information.

Solving these problems helped us improve both our design thinking and development skills.

What we learned

Working on Life Pulse helped us learn many things:

  • How to design user-centered health applications
  • Creating interactive UI features
  • Managing teamwork and dividing tasks effectively
  • Improving problem solving during debugging and feature updates

We also learned how important simplicity and accessibility are when building health-related tools.

What's next for Life Pulse

In the future we plan to expand Life Pulse with additional features such as:

  • AI-based wellness suggestions
  • Mood tracking
  • Sleep tracking
  • Personalized health insights
  • Mobile app integration

Our vision is to turn Life Pulse into a complete personal wellness companion that helps users maintain both physical and mental well-being.
