Project Inspiration
We’ve all been there: staring at a sea of Discord channels or crowded Slack threads, desperately trying to find a team... hours before a hackathon starts. Our team literally experienced this (shoutout to our panic-fueled last-minute group formation), and we thought: there’s got to be a better way.
Hackathons are meant to spark creativity and collaboration — not stress about finding people to collaborate with. But for introverts, first-timers, or folks without a big network, finding teammates can be awkward, stressful, and, honestly, kind of random. So we built HackBuddy, an AI-powered teammate-matching agent that listens, understands, and connects hackers with the right teammates — all with just a call. In a world where generative AI can write code, why can’t it help you find the right people to write it with?
