The #Netherlands has been seeing a growing stream of Americans, mostly #trans people, applying for #asylum.  18 in 2023 there were 18, 9 in 2024, and 76 in 2025. The Dutch have denied 60 claims, and all others are expected to be denied. 46 Americans have been deported.We continue to plead with #trans Americans - do not seek asylum anywhere. You will be denied, you will have trouble traveling afterwards, and you will make it more difficult for those who later have stronger claims.Don't do it.
