@timbray @judell There’s a write up somewhere explaining how git was designed to be the low-level building blocks to be assembled into higher level more abstract tooling. Assembly language for repos. That more abstract tooling just never emerged.Not arguing or justifying the complexity. I just remember thinking “oooooooh” when I read it.
