I recall one house party where I drank half a large bottle of vodka and a whole smaller bottle of vodka, passed out and someone understandably called the ambulance. That of course promptly brought the party to an early end, and I ended up in A&E with an IV drip in my arm. To add insult to injury, when my mum went to the hospital she recognised one of the A&E nurses who she trained.
