The UK reddit thread thread is predictably filled with seething rage, mainly about the cop that got hit by a sledgehammer whose spine just did that.

Can't believe a British jury understood that when you defend the genocide factory, you not only deserve to get bonked, but the person who did it is innocent.

I always take everything from a country or city subreddit with a ton of salt, they all seem astroturfed to hell, or at best just populated with unhinged PMC (both kinds I guess) types. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the gammons are legit up in arms about this but reddit tends to be the worst of people by and large lmao

irl we don't really have the subset of cop worshipers that the usa does. opinions on the bacon range from hostile to ambivalent with a side of they're fucking useless

Evidence that British people are infinitely cooler than Americans despite what some want to claim.

Can someone tell me if this is because the jury is cool, because the charges were too strong, because there was some paperwork or procedural thing, or something else? This just seems like a remarkable outcome

If you click the tweet link the third post says

Jury refused to convict any defendant on criminal damage. Corner not convicted of GBH.

but you can basically get that from the first post as well.
