Essentially, where do you draw the line? If you follow this to its logical conclusion you end up saying Israel belongs to the pre-Hebrew Caananites, the conquest of the land is part of the Bible. Abraham was from Ur if I'm not mistaken. Does Italy get Southern England because it was conquered by Rome? Does it get Egypt for that same reason? Does Iran get Iraq and Israel because the Achaemenids? Greece get Afghanistan because of Bactria? You bet your ass China gets Taiwan in this scenario.
