related to #718, we probably want PoE switches preferred due to random equipment that depends on it. can always be supplemented with separate injectors though

we also want at least gigabit level switches. unmanaged? dumb switches? anything is appreciated but yeah

for the various switches I really like the idea of getting some random cheapo vlan capable switches and then scripting a centralized way to control them. They should have much lower power usage than the Ciscos we have been rocking. I've grabbed a https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DTKGCWNL (random no-name 1x10Gbit uplink, 8x2.5Gbit), a TL-SG108E (8x1Gb), and a GS308E (8x1Gb). I'm gonna hack around with modelling a central control system for those. The TL-SG108PE V3 looks interesting for POE stuff but it's only Gigabit. This random no-name "MokerLink" https://www.amazon.com/MokerLink-POE-Managed-10G-SFP/dp/B0D6V4M94G looks interesting for POE with 10Gbit uplink and mgig ports. I might grab the MokerLink as my next switch to play with for this

I think all infra we build-out should be at least 1Gbit, but I really like the idea of these 10Gb uplink with 2.5mgig access ports. We should ideally also only grab stuff that is vlan capable and low power usage. Lets design a low power network so we aren't scrambling to save on power later :3
