Just because its her birthday and its all about her today...
The story of Michelle`s dress:
If youve been a bride of ours over the last couple of years finding yourself loving something completely different to what you original thought then youve probably been told this story by Gem or Michelle who still giggle about it today!
Much like 80% of our bridetobes Michelle had a set vision in mind for her wedding dress. It was going to be a high neck, long sleeved plain a-line gown. She`d worked in bridal for 17 years, she`d tried loads on, she knew exactly what she wanted and knew what her style was....OR DID SHE???
We searched for a year for this vision, every time a new collection or a buying trip came up we were looking for it but nothing felt right and Gemma was close to strangling her!
Then, one day we were filming content in the store: Michelle tried on Cora...a deep plunge, fitted dress with a bit of lace and sparkle...GAME OVER....she was glowing in it! Gem knew it, the rest of the team knew it but believe me it was the hardest thing convincing her to trust her heart!
It took Michelle about 3 weeks to reconcile the fact that what she wanted versus what lit her up were two very different things but after that YES was said she never looked back.
Her @justinalexander Cora dress was beautiful on its own but our gorgeous gal just wanted something a little extra so we ordered an overskirt and matching lace appliques so our amazing seamstress could create her custom piece. Michelle kept the dress a secret and even her Mum didn`t see it until a month before the big day..seeing the tears of pride and joy is a memory we`ll treasure forever!
The moral of the story?
Have an open mind, drown out other peoples opinions, dont put limitations on yourself and listen to your heart...any decision you make based on this will be the right one for you!

Our first buying trip of the year and what a whirlwind few days we`ve had in Holland!
After a fairly chilled ride on the Eurostar and a good night`s sleep it was full on Bridal mode Monday as we spent the entire day watching fashion shows, learning about the year ahead, networking, placing orders and having a blast with some of our favourite retailers and many many cocktails!
We are so excited with whats to come and have had the best time ever choosing our new gowns!
