There’s a rim sale and limo rental place across the street from me that I’m sure is a front. The only people I ever see there are the owners and they always just have a few limos parked in front.

Oh I didn’t know that. I’ve tried using other podcast apps but I just end up going back to Spotify since I’m already using it for music and it remembers where I am in Dungeons and Daddies.

I just use Spotify for podcasts. Unless there’s something I’m missing from other podcast apps, Spotify works great for me.

You don’t get federated automatically. On your own instance you will only see posts in communities that you subscribe to. What I did was set up a “bot” user that I used to subscribe to a bunch of communities that I might find interesting when just browsing the All feed but I didn’t want in my personal Subscribed feed. There’s a few tools that will automatically subscribe a bot user on your instance to all the top communities but I found just manually going through https://lemmyverse.net/communities and clicking subscribe as that bot user worked for me.

Same with me. I’ve removed all the apps from my phone and I’ve moved to Lemmy for all my doom scrolling.

Seems like a “it’s easier to just turn that feature back on than try to fix what it broke” kind of thing.
