I haven’t used a web browser made by Microsoft in 20 years, since I leaned how to create a web page. I saw how Microsoft was trying to take over the web by leveraging their monopoly to enforce their non-standards compliant crap.
I even took an A- over an A+ on that project because I refused to code a version of the site that would work better under IE. I just put a disclaimer at the bottom of the page saying that it was 100% standards compliant and if anyone experienced an issue viewing the page they should consider a upgrading their web browser.
I understand the Edge is supposed to be better than IE and more standards compliant or whatever, but given their history coupled with their anti-privacy practices, it makes any browser made by Microsoft a non starter for me.

My cousin was fired from his job at Home Depot and the General Manager told him that it was beyond his control, that the company had implemented an AI to make those decisions.
It seems like they took the wrong message from this meme. “We can’t be held accountable? Yay!”

11 is a higher number than 10
Jokes on them. I am using 24.04.

Twitter and Facebook are bad as well.

And the other half is the literal slave labor they force prisoners to do
People should not have lawns of grass in areas where they have to water them to keep them green. Especially if there is a water shortage. Use Rocks, Use native plants, Get creative.
Grass is the most basic ass way to keep your lawn. If you are playing a sport on it, fine- but if not it’s boring af anyway.
“If you’re thirsty, they’re thirsty.”
Doesn’t this mean that if I’m not thirsty, they’re not thirsty? So I should drink enough water to make sure I’m not thirsty.

Sounds like a worse version of both Android and ChromeOS.

Another idea: have ‘lending libraries’ for hobbies. Leave your art supplies and check out a keyboard and a Ukulele. Donate leather-working tools and while you are there you can use the 3D printer. Kind of like a cross between a maker space and a book library.
Smaller libraries might be able to combine the two ideas. I know you used to be able to check out video cameras and AV equipment before everybody phone did that at my library.
This way creative people in the community who otherwise couldn’t afford to express themselves could have access to the tools to do so. I could make more room in my house by donating the art supplies to people who I know will use it… at least until they get bored of that and want to try something else.
I could see people holding classes there in how to use the tools properly, or even just hanging out to give advice to people who want it.
No problem :) I’m not exactly sure what they meant by “cave conversation” unless they mistook Obi-Wan’s hut for a cave.
I am admittedly biased and possibly influenced by nostalgia, but in my opinion the original Trilogy holds up quite well, and is actually the best trilogy. If you haven’t watched them before I highly recommend them, especially if you are interested in Star Wars.
In the original “Star Wars” (now known as “Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope”), Luke asks Obi-Wan how his father died. Obi-Wan tells him “A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine before he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered you father.”
In “Return of the Jedi”, (Episode VI) Luke sees a ‘Force Ghost’ of Obi-Wan. Luke asks him “Why didn’t you tell me? You told me Vader betrayed and murdered my father.” Obi-Wan responds “Your father was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader. When that happened the good man who was your father was destroyed. So what I told you was true- from a certain point of view.”
it was supposed to be an uncommon thing that hadn’t even been around for a very long time.
The Jedi had been around for over 25,000 years before A New Hope. There had to be volumes of evidence for Jedi powers by the time of that film.

The guy in the meme and Han Solo were just Straw Atheists I’m afraid.
Edit: “For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic, before the dark times. Before the Empire.” -Obi Wan in ANH

I never really watched his show but he always gave me the ick. Now I know why.
Millennial? Gen X’er here. I have the box for every piece of electronics or appliance, and I have an extremely limited amount of space. If you like to resell things when you no longer need them it really helps.
Opinionated older white man here, I think people should do whatever they want.

I used to be ok with it in certain circumstances, until I found out how many innocent people get convicted and how many people put to death were exonerated later. I’m against the entire prison system now though. It’s modern slavery and the state shouldn’t be trusted with that kind of power.
We have to specify so that Jessica Simpson doesn’t get confused with Chicken.
