Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How are you doing today? Life's treating you good so far?
7·7 days agoI can’t complain. Overall I’m pretty happy.
Hopefully everything is going well for you too.

Where are the Tide pods at and the pink (cotton candy looking) insulation? Otherwise, solid post.
Edit: well, I clearly didn’t read your title/rule. Oof 😅
Discounted candy ftw

You should watch the movie Soylent Green.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Upstairs neighbor deadlifting in his apartment
2·22 days agoIf management keeps brushing you off…you could go more “Karen” on them or keep bugging them. You pay rent.
I’d keep it indirect especially if they seem like they don’t care; why bother talking directly with the neighbors which they could potentially see as confrontational. Personally I’d stop escalating with the music since it’s not working (they’re either unaware or are jerks). Make management deal with it.
Also keep complaining to management if they continue. Apartments I lived at had quiet hours in the contract; after so many complaints someone could get kicked out. Hopefully this is the case for you. Good luck. It’s a game of patience.
Looks like Richard Scarry.

It helps to step back and appreciate what you have (things and people). I try to follow up by verbalizing gratitude especially to those I love. Say “thank you” often and mean it etc. Even if I’m not happy, if I show outward appreciation for someone else I get happy. Happiness is a gift.
Also I try to treat myself like I’m my best friend. I check in often and reflect on what I might want/need to maintain tranquility. Happiness is a choice and a practice.
Great post.
