So, corruption and bribery.

So, corruption and bribery.

Just Brexit harder!

I’d be fine if big tech social media would be required to use real names. That would reduce all the racism, misogyny, transphobia etc tremendously. It is obvious the big tech is not interested at all preventing any of that themselves. But let’s keep the rest of the internet out of it.

Time to install some razor blades for “cooling” purposes.

There is no hallucination problems, just design flaws and errors. The so called AI bots are not sentient and cannot hallucinate.

Fuck the Belgian law though. Child mutilation for ritualistic purposes.
“Belgian law permits ritual circumcisions if they are performed by a qualified doctor under strict health and safety standards.”

People don’t always need fastest possible computers for their tasks. As long as the browser works and is current is enough for most people.
Besides, Macs tend to be nice looking and their build quality is good. Aesthetics are subjective, but many find even older Macs pretty nice to look at compared to black boxes.

Again, fuck Meta/Facebook for not helping.

Did that just earlier today. No issues so far.
Do you, or anyone for that matter know what percentage do different tier artists get from CD/DVD-sales?

That looks liike such a mess. Best implementation of the start menu is the Windows 10 iteration of Windows 8’s full screen start menu. You can arrange icons into groups and make them different sizes. After that opening the applications becomes muscle memory.

Thanks for the useful information. If .ml is viewed problematic and it is by developers of Lemmy, would it be better to switch to Piefed (which I’ve never even heard of) entirely?

How can I possibly determine a good instance just by spending time here? I usually don’t even check usernames when reading posts or comments.

Maybe, but how would I even know what instances are here to stay, populated and moderated by good people and so on?

I have plenty of posts saved for later reading, just like I had in Reddit. Just recently I managed to open all of those, gather links and delete my account. It feels really frustrating possibly having to do that again and knowing I might have to do it yet again in the future if my next chosen instance turns into a something scummy. Really puts a rather sour note on the whole federated thing.

So now I need to find out how to switch instances and what I’ll loose by doing so.
Great. Just what I wanted after leaving big tech social media.

So am I looked differently because I happened to join .ml instead some other instance? I was at first at different one, but lost my login and hadn’t used an email when signing up so I had to create another one. I just chose one instance randomly and it happened to be ml. I’m I fucked?

Those damn dirty Americans are ruining everything.

I switched from Sync.com to pCloud.com. I’m considering self hosting Nextcloud but need to learn and iron out security stuff first.
$7,99 a month for viewing non-Google content with a little less ads sounds… still shitty.
