Her statement was absolutely unhinged. Genuinely thought it was fake when I first saw it!

I honestly assumed this was fake and had to check multiple sources before I accepted that it’s real. A shocking new low.

Why would the Greens want this? They just got their best ever by-election result, they’re hardly going to turn to a guy who lost two general elections for a bit of extra help.

Came here to say exactly this! But coming 3rd, behind Greens and Reform, is pretty close to the worst fear (coming 3rd behind Reform and Greens).

At some point Labour will realise that the strategy of trying to win over right wing voters and hoping the left will stick with you regardless no longer works in the UK. I just hope they realise this before the next elections.

It’d be nice if this made him re-evaluate some of his choices, but I don’t hold out much hope.

I thought it was interesting that the Doctor didn’t want to mentor Sam after he was so enthusiastic about taking the same role for Seven of Nine. This episode gave a solid explanation!

The diplomacy aspect makes it a nightmare for Labour to do it, but they should do the Putin angle as much as possible.

I’m normally very opposed to tactical voting for this very reason (people should vote for who they want!) but I will make an exception to defeat fascism.

Like the headline, that claim is inaccurate editorialising by the author. The margin of error makes it impossible to make such a statement definitively. It’s quite possible that Labour is ‘actually’ ahead of Reform, with the Greens in 3rd. Someone reading this claim and concluding they should therefore vote Green (and not Labour, as they were previously leaning) might thereby help hand the victory to Reform.

That said, I absolutely wouldn’t blame anyone for taking this as a reason to vote Green to stop Reform. It’s just that the evidence you should vote Labour for the same reason is exactly as good.

Someone really needs to take this man to one side and say, just, what the fuck are you talking about?

Yeah, I’ve often felt it could be improved if we had one FOR vote and one AGAINST vote. But anything other than FPTP would be better!

Yeah, the Admiral from this episode who kicks Riker in the head, though. That’s my guy.

I actually don’t have a blanket hate of AI; it genuinely has some useful applications .

Like you, though, I strongly resent software being installed on my machines without my permission. Not an anti-AI argument as such, granted.

My problem with LLMs specifically is that they have been set up to use the labour of other people, without permission and without paying for that labour, which is plainly unethical.

I’m not a communist myself, but the last point is so fatuous that I think it’s fair to conclude that anyone actually making it is not arguing in good faith.

The first two, though, are completely valid arguments and you should respond to them by ceasing to describe yourself as a communist!

Oh shit, that’s a good point, because it’s drying her out.
