The NOMIS Foundation and the Collegium Helveticum share the commitment to advancing innovative and interdisciplinary basic research. Through this partnership, they aim to foster collaborations that transcend national and disciplinary boundaries in order to address the challenges of our time and enhance Zurich’s appeal to outstanding researchers.

As the joint Institute for Advanced Study of ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich and Zurich University of the Arts, the Collegium provides an inspiring environment for interdisciplinary exchange where scholars can explore new perspectives on their research.

Beginning in September 2026, the Collegium will host leading international researchers as NOMIS Senior Fellows, offering them the opportunity to conduct research in Zurich for several months and to engage with the stimulating academic environment of the city’s three universities. The NOMIS Senior Fellowship Program is one of several initiatives of this new partnership.
