My gallery just got nuked. (somewhat) (G)
Before anyone says anything, no, it didn't get nuked in the sense that all of my submissions were erased... thankfully.
I woke up this morning to another note from the fA staff. All of my quicksand-themed submissions here got changed from General to Mature, as well as some other unrelated artwork here and there. Did fA get a new change in staff that I'm not aware about?
I'm not gonna lie, this is really disheartening for me. I know I previously said already that so many other similarly-themed submissions seem to get the pass while I get the boot instead (and I still stand by that) but this seriously confuses me. Do you guys even know how much fetish material gets uploaded on here that slips by with General ratings? If my stuff had to be flagged then surely it's only fair that all that other material get flagged too.
In any case... I guess that leaves me with several questions.
1. I was presented with the option to fight back against this decision if I felt it was unjustified but honestly I'm not even sure it's worth it at this point. Has anyone else ever had experience with this?
2. Is Twitter still a viable option these days for posting artwork? Besides the fact that I don't think most of my submissions were bad enough to justify labeling them as "Mature", I partly also gave them the General label to make the artwork a bit more accessible to find outside of fA. The forced Mature ratings have now made this considerably more difficult.
I'm not entirely on board with posting on Twitter either. Despite the follower count I have on here, for a while now most of my recent submissions have not gotten as many comments as I would have preferred. It's not that I'm trying to get as many comments as possible but I generally like seeing people comment on my stuff as that gives me a small opportunity to talk about my commissioned artwork with them, even it's only just a small comment that I'm replying back with. The last thing I want is to be uploading stuff into the void with no interactions whatsoever.
I guess that's really it so far. Let me know what you guys think. I'm at a loss for words right now... this was not a good way to start off the morning today.
