Regarding the latest edits, I totally agree that we should use a {{closed_range}} template rather than relying on the optional parameter here. That said, we can keep the optional parameter and have {{closed_range}} forward to this template so that we're not adding maintenance burden. [edit] Line breaks in the range

Sometimes, an interval is cut in half by a newline. I think it might be a good idea to prevent that from happening. Here's an example that I think looks pretty strange. --2A02:586:292B:EA3D:C178:828A:6CDD:599 18:10, 25 September 2023 (PDT)

Code blocks (i.e., {{c}}) has the CSS property display: inline-block;, we cannot prevent the break from happening between inline text and inline-block text. --Xmcgcg (talk) 23:19, 25 September 2023 (PDT)
