This Day in History: Mickey Mouse debuts before public audience

Mickey Mouse appeared for the first time in front of a public audience in a test screening.

He made his formal screen debut with the release of “Steamboat Willie” six months later.

Gray Media, parent company of WDBJ7, is celebrating the upcoming 250th birthday of the United States of America with a year-long look at our country called “We the People”.
