About

Journey is a multi-platinum-selling rock band from San Francisco, California. Originally formed by former members of Santana, the Steve Miller Band and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band’s current lineup includes guitarist and backing vocalist Neal Schon, lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, keyboardist and guitarist Jonathan Cain, keyboardist Jason Derlatka, bassist Todd Jensen and drummer Deen Castronovo. After releasing a few albums — including their self-titled 1975 debut — throughout the early ‘70s, Journey reached a new height of commercial success on the charts with Infinity (1978), Evolution (1979) and Departure (1980), all of which were certified multi-platinum in the U.S. The band earned their first chart-topping album in 1981 with Escape, which also yielded massive hits like “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Open Arms.” Over the decades, Journey has continued to release studio albums and tour the world as one of the best-selling rock acts in music history, with their most recent album, Freedom, released in 2022.

Great Job after all these Years

by Virginia David on 6/7/26Berglund Coliseum - Roanoke

Journey show was worth it!  2.5 hours.  No opening act. No encore.  All the hits (especially in the last hour), many with extended concert versions.  Everyone who sings, and they all took their turns, still had good voice.  Younger Asian  lead, Arnel Pineda, who replaced Steve Perry 19 years ago, is still a phenomenal singer and showman, but older original guys did great, especially Deen Castronovo who sings while drumming and hitting all the high notes with strength.  Everyone is in decent physical shape but keyboardist/guitar man Jonathan Cain comes off stiff with a Botox-kinda dead face. He did the most talking to the audience and came off like the dad at the party. Great video boards so we could see all the way in the back.  Some sound mixing and lighting cues were off from time to time, but not a huge deal. I wasn't sure if Arnel's voice was giving our toward the end of the show or if the wireless mikes were failing. I wasn’t prepared for many less familiar songs in the first hour with fewer hits sprinkled in, and in the middle half hour, the many extended solos, giving fellow band members breaks off stage to change. But that's a long rock concert and they didn't skip many hits, so all's forgiven. Glad we went.

    Loved it!

by CW on 6/7/26Food City Center - Knoxville

This band has SO much energy! Great concert - played for over two hours. No opening band and no encore. It seemed as if they didn't want to leave. We had read that Don't Stop Believing is normally the last song, so were surprised when they played 5 more after this one. Thoroughly enjoyed and they played several older songs near the beginning that some fans were not familiar, but were great, too! Don't pass up an opportunity to see them!

    A little disappointing

by Jim on 6/7/26Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

Great stage show, made up for some of their choices in the music. The music was a lot of their side B and unknown, kind of left the audience wondering where they were going with this show.

    Sucked

by Mike on 6/7/26Berglund Coliseum - Roanoke

Worst concert ever. Lead singer screamed the words you couldn't understand. Lead gitartist made the gitarist squeal like heavy metal. We left after the 1st hour. They had only played one old hit which is what we came to hear. They need to. Take a lesson from Foreigner on how to play a concert.
