Richard Louv

US journalist and author Richard Louv has written eight books about the connections between family, nature and community. In his most well-known books, Last Child in the Woods and The Nature Principle, Louv uses the term 'nature-deficit disorder' to explain the correlation between an increase in social, mental and physical health problems with less time spent in nature because of busy, technology-driven lives.
