Javier Sicilia is one of Mexico's best-known authors and poets. After the torture and murder of his son, Francesco, Sicilia founded the Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity, whose rallies to halt mafia violence and introduce new anti-crime strategies and reforms have attracted hundreds of thousands of supporters.
