Traffic blight.

LIVERPOOL small businesses have reported losing more than 100 working hours each year as a result of traffic congestion in the region.

Some businesses claim this increasing problem has cost them over pounds 5,000 in lost revenue.

The figures come from the Federation of Small Businesses latest survey which found that 15% of businesses questioned had lost more than 100 hours while a further 12% are losing 50 working hours per year.

Almost half of the businesses responding in the North West expressed dissatisfaction at the state of repair of local roads, while just over a third were unhappy with the region's major roads.
