SeaCompression is a one-of-a-kind fall gathering—a hybrid of street carnival, dance party, and art festival—produced by Ignition Northwest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building community through participatory arts, immersive events, and creative education.
As the official “decompression” event for the Burning Man community, SeaCompression serves as a vibrant closing ceremony to the festival season, inviting both seasoned Burners and newcomers to embrace the spirit of inclusion, self-expression, and collaborative creativity.
A legacy of imagination: For more than two decades, SeaCompression has brought together the Puget Sound Burner community in celebration of art, music, performance, and community connection. Each year features large-scale art installations, interactive experiences, and unforgettable performances created by and for the community.

Ticketing and Waiver Information
To purchase your ticket, you will be redirected to https://ignitionnw.volunteeripate.com/ where you will create an account or log into your existing account.
We use Volunteeripate for ticketing because it’s a Burner-made platform that conveniently integrates ticketing, waivers, and volunteer hour tracking for our community.
Every attendee over the age of 18 must create their own Volunteeripate account in order to purchase a ticket and sign their required waiver.
Attendees under 18 are free and must be registered under their accompanying adult’s Volunteeripate account.

Ticketing FAQ
Another ticketing platform, why?
IgnitionNW is moving to Volunteeripate to provide continuity between all events and volunteering opportunities
Your Volunteeripate account will track all your volunteering hours and make it easier to earn and redeem discounted/guaranteed tickets
Volunteeripate is developed by a Burner, with input from us, for and with our Community in mind
Can I transfer my ticket?
Standard tickets can be transferred via the “Menu” > “Your Account” > “Tickets” > “Ticket Options” > “Ticket Transfer.” You can select a free transfer or a paid transfer.
Transfers give the recipient 1 hour to accept or decline the transfer
Paid transfers allow the recipient to pay the original ticket holder for their ticket, after which the ticket will transfer to the new account
Certain ticket tiers are non-transferable
Addons are currently non-transferable and non-refundable and will remain on your account
Can I buy multiple tickets on the same account?
While each account can only hold 1 ticket a time, you can purchase a ticket, transfer it, and then purchase another
If you would like to purchase a different ticket tier, you will need to transfer your ticket before being able to purchase a new one
Limiting tickets to 1 per account at a time reduces confusion/delays at Check In and ensures that everyone signs their waiver
How do I purchase Addons after buying a ticket?
You can purchase addons after you buy a ticket by navigating to the “Menu” at the top left, “Your Account,” and “Tickets”
Click on “Ticket Options” and select “Purchase Additional Addons”
Can I register a Minor after buying a ticket?
You can register a Minor after you buy a ticket by navigating to the “Menu” at the top left, “Your Account,” “Minors,” then “Add Minor”
How can I sign up to Volunteer…ipate?
Click “Menu” “Shift Signup” and then select your desired department, then click “Search”
Optionally you can select a tag or a particular role, but these are not required
How do I change my Legal Name or Age after account creation?
This needs to be done by an admin, please contact The Box Office for assistance
Is there re-entry for SeaCompression 2025?
Yes! Re-entry is permitted. No new entrants after midnight.

Call for Artists
We’re excited to announce a new venture for SeaCompression this year—our very own art gallery! Burning Man and other Ten Principles-inspired events thrive on artist participation, and we’d love to collaborate with you to fundraise for Ignition Northwest while also uplifting local artists.
The gallery will feature and sell the work of local creators through our social media, website, and at the event itself. Our goal is to connect people with the diverse community of ideas and art that make our region so vibrant.
We invite you to participate. Whether or not you’re already part of the Burning Man community, we welcome you to submit your work. We’re looking for paintings, prints, costumes, LED creations, 3D prints, original sculpture, jewelry, or any other form of personal expression.
This year’s gallery will be curated by Miguel Eduardo—a local visionary and erotic painter active in the Critical Northwest community, with work previously shown at SEAF and Gallery Erato. You can explore his art at www.migueleduardoart.com.
Important: All submitted works must be for sale, as this is explicitly a vending event.
