Hey everyone, I want to give you all an update on the development of omiSt and how things are going to look moving forward. There are a few important changes and shifts in focus that I want to share with you. Patreon Tier Updates After almost two years of searching, I haven't been able to find a trustworthy, cost-efficient 3D printing company that can guarantee high-quality, worldwide delivery. Because of this, I have made the decision to remove the Quantum Quasar and AI Aspirator tiers from Patreon. Note: If you are currently in either of these tiers, you will not be affected. However, if you decide to change your tier or cancel your membership, you will not be able to return to those specific tiers in the future. Shifting Focus: Story & Animations Moving forward, I am going to be focusing much more heavily on the story; really leaning into the Visual Novel aspect of the game, and dialing back slightly on the adult scenes. I want the narrative to be as engaging as possible. After spending some times playing other games, I realised that people focus on the sex scene too much. And, I understand the appeal, but rewarding mediocre action with mediocre sex scene is too bland and without any consideration for the characters build up. That being said, animations will remain the top focus for the next update and beyond, so you can expect a big step up in the visual quality and movement of the scenes we do have. Audio, Music, Sfx Currently, I am using AI music due to the incident about Caribdis (The Creator of Eternum) get a Cease and Desist Email from Epidemic Sound. They forbid people like us to use their music in Adult Visual Novel or Pornographic in General. I understand that AI is still one of the things people hate, but I won't be able to afford any private audio editor and music composer for this project. And I have been notified by the Product Manager that I spent at least 25% of the time choosing and refining the AI music on my own. I am still confuse on where I should stand about this aspect, so let me know what you think. I can continue focusing on doing the AI music, or I can just - as the kids say it - ballin it. Let me know how many % of you guys actually listen to the sfx/music in game! P/S: Thank you KumihoArt that helps me during the 2nd half of 0.3.0. If you have the budget for it, consider hire him for your project! You can find him here . I Need Your Feedback! Without your feedback, I am essentially flying blind. I need to know if the direction I'm taking is the right one, what you are enjoying, and what could be better. Please let me know your thoughts! You can reach out via private message on Discord or Patreon, or drop your thoughts directly in the Discord #suggestions channel. Community Translations Because omiSt is entirely a passion project, the funds to hire a professional translation team are unfortunately non-existent right now. Currently, the game is relying on community translations. I can't express how thankful I am for all the translators who actually spent their precious time to translate this project. So if you want translation for the game, you might need to have to wait a few days. Supporting the Project If you are enjoying the game and want to help support its long-term development, even just a little bit goes a incredibly long way. Buying the game on Itch or subscribing to be a member on Patreon is a massive help and allows me to keep pouring my time into building this world. Thank you all for your continued support, patience, and passion for the game. Until the next update, Stop rushing. Don't waste your time holding on to the things that you cannot change. If it is out of your control, let it be out of your mind. Love yall, Hana and the omiSt team
