I remember playing this game as a kid on my dad's laptop and for some reason, the name stuck with me all these years. I didn't find the game particularly enthralling but I think it was the music and the movement of the fox that drew my little kid mind into it. Found it again today and played a little and I've gotta be honest, it's just ok. Music and aesthetics wise, gorgeous. Story and gameplay are a little lackluster. I got bored very quickly but that's just me. I can't speak for everyone.

This is probably my best game to date. I wanted to make something more accessible, as most of my flash games have been too complicated for my family to play. :3

EDIT: Because nearly everyone is saying they can't figure out the boss's pattern, I've made a slight change that should make it more obvious. Once the game update is approved I'll let you guys know and you can try again with the new pattern. *Alright it's up now*

If you're getting a black screen after the Newgrounds and Particlasm screens this applies to you. This might also help with the loading bar freezing. This was posted by a Kongregate user (thanks Knork):
"If the game does not load past the ads make sure that ngads.com and ads.newgrounds.com are not being blocked in your hosts file. Which is located under C:\WINDOWS\system32\drive rs\etc
If they are, uncheck the "Read-only" attribute and edit out those two lines."

I remember playing this a very long time ago and not liking it very much. Coming back to it now, I do see why. This game leans pretty hard into the exploration side of a platformer. There's little in the way of difficult platforming, searching the map can be pretty tedious due to its open level design, and the enemies stealing fireflies is infuriating (you almost wish you could just die instead.) In the process of making the game low-stakes, wandering back and forth can feel like a frustrating tug of war, or scouring the same area over and over.
Gameplay aside, this game is breathtakingly beautiful, although the repetitiveness of the graphics at times makes it very easy to get lost. I don't even think the game needs much from an aesthetic standpoint so much as it just becomes difficult to navigate such a large map made of identical looking trees and platforms.

I think people mostly saw it as a way to listen to the music while doing something. Like a visualizer.
Found this game ages ago when I was in my teens, and just found it again as an adult. Super relaxing, lovely aesthetic, SUCH gorgeous music--I'm so glad it's still around to be able to play again!
Beautiful game. Always will come back to it. Every since I was 7.. and ongoing.. I'm now 20.
