UM Sydney promotes Andrew Clift to role of General Manager

Andrew Clift has been appointed as the General Manager of UM Sydney. Clift, who previously held the position of Managing Partner, steps into his new role with immediate effect.

Clift joined UM in 2016 and has since built a reputation for delivering innovative, client-focused solutions across both digital and traditional channels. His career spans experience in account management, media planning and buying, and client communications.

Anathea Ruys, CEO of UM Australia, said, "Promoting from within is always a proud moment for UM, and Andrew is the right talent to lead our Sydney office into 2026 and beyond," Ruys stated.

"He is deeply immersed in the business and has an outstanding track record of delivering real value and impact for our clients. He will bring new energy and leadership to help our Sydney team continue to thrive," she said.

Ruys added, "Andrew’s passion for his craft has always been unwavering and his leadership and mentoring skills have been crucial to enable UM grow, foster innovation and uphold the agency’s ambition to deliver exceptional client results."

Clift said, "I’m thrilled to take on this next chapter at UM and lead our team in such an exciting period for our industry. Over the past decade, I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible clients and teams, and this role is an opportunity to continue building on that foundation and help solve the complex challenges businesses face today."

He stated, "Under my leadership our aim will be to continue to drive innovation and deliver outstanding outcomes for clients as we move into 2026 and beyond."
