Beginning in late August, you will no longer be able to create or edit click-to-message ads. Existing ads will gradually decrease in delivery from August through October. By late October, click-to-message ads will stop serving completely. As alternatives, you can create message, conversation, or single image ads for your campaigns.   

As an advertiser, you can use conversation assets to help you start conversations with professionals and business decision-makers using LinkedIn Messaging on both desktop and mobile devices. Conversation assets are a form of native advertising displayed to a target audience through LinkedIn Messaging. Conversation assets are only available for click-to-message ad campaigns.

Conversation assets help you reduce the time it takes to market your click-to-message ad campaigns as you can create them ahead of time and use them when needed. With conversation assets, you can set up multiple call-to-action (CTA) buttons and encourage engagement with more information in the next message. 

Conversation assets can be reused across multiple click-to-message ad campaigns. You can also duplicate a conversation asset to implement modifications for different click-to-message ad campaigns. You can't edit a conversation asset in an active campaign. If you want to edit a conversation asset after the click-to-message ad begins to serve, you must pause the existing ad and create a new one.
