Outcome

The Global Stakeholder Engagement (GSE) North America team thanks all who participated in the development of the Draft North America Engagement Plan FY26–30, including the members of the Advisory Team from each of the participating community groups. The Public Comment Proceeding for the Draft North America Engagement Plan FY26–30 resulted in seven submissions.

Overall, Public Comment submissions noted that the draft plan was well-aligned with the overall ICANN Strategic Plan and that it provided sufficient scope and flexibility to make adjustments, when necessary, throughout the defined period.

The main critique of the draft plan was that clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were needed to assess progress and ensure accountability.

Background

The FY26–30 North America Engagement Plan will replace the previous iteration, which was FY21–25. The North America GSE team drafted an original framework for the plan, which was then shared with an advisory panel composed of North America community members from the different Supporting Organizations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs). The North America GSE team incorporated feedback collected through a shared document and public webinars into this draft plan.
