ICANN Request for Proposal: NomCom Recruiting Services

15 September 2025

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) issued a request for proposal (RFP) to identify recruiting and consulting service providers to assist the Nominating Committee (NomCom) in recruiting qualified candidates for key leadership positions.

The NomCom is an independent ICANN community group tasked with appointing several important positions, including some members of the Boards of ICANN and Public Technical Identifiers, as well as the At-Large Advisory Committee, the Country Code Names Supporting Organization Council, and the Generic Names Supporting Organization Council. The NomCom is designed to function independently from the Board, the Supporting Organizations, and Advisory Committees. NomCom delegates act on behalf of the global Internet community and within the scope of the ICANN mission and responsibilities assigned to it by the ICANN Bylaws; they do not act in furtherance of the group that appointed them. The aim of this RFP is to support the NomCom in identifying and conducting recruitment and outreach with potential candidates from all geographical regions in accordance with specific required competencies.

By issuing this RFP, ICANN is soliciting proposals from qualified suppliers for the provision of the services to achieve this. For a complete overview of this RFP, including the timeline, please read the RFP Overview.

Indications of interest should be emailed to [email protected] and provide the following information: 1. company name; 2. contact name; and 3. contact email address. Proposals should be electronically submitted using ICANN's sourcing tool by 23:59 UTC on 17 October 2025. Access to this tool may be requested via the same email.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
