Rubricora is one of the more recently ascended dragons and as such, she loves to collect things to add to her hoard like any good dragon would. But with her new ascended powers, she can get rather...creative with what she collects now. Such as entire planets or cities that she shrinks down. Join us in getting to know Rubricora and what a typical day for her is like!

BottleH2O, I love how you portray Rubricora here as an elegant, vain, yet consistently thoughtful “lady-goddess” who stands somewhere between Zizalys's nurturing nature and Schoria's destructive urges, thus gaining her own unique moral gray area. You use her tour of the cave as the perfect introduction: her meticulously organized hoard, the rooms for metals, gems, and fabrics, right down to the cities and entire planets preserved in jars, and it immediately shows that power and aesthetics are inextricably linked for her. I find your depiction of her relationship with the tiny civilizations particularly powerful: she isn't malicious, but domineering and playfully cruel; the delayed tribute, the terrified governor, the “memory” brought about by his shrinking, and the looming purifying power of the handmaid. This is dark humor with a clear hierarchy. The planet collection and her coquettish posing before billions of eyes further amplify this cult of her image, without ever making you forget how unimaginably small everyone else is to her. Out in the world, as she strides across continents, tolerates cities between her toes, or meticulously “sorts out” the floating islands, you convey her demand for perfection very elegantly: Only what truly convinces her aesthetically is allowed to become part of her kingdom; everything else is at best raw material, like the golden ring she promptly appropriates as jewelry. The finale with the neon city in the cold south is a beautiful dramatic climax: after all the disappointing discoveries, this futuristic, luminous metropolis feels like a well-deserved “find,” and her cheerfully determined address to the “little darlings” builds the bridge between horror and comfort that is so characteristic of your Ascended Dragons. Overall, the story feels like a carefully composed character portrait complete with a worldbuilding showcase you can feel in every scene that you know very well who Rubricora is and how she sees her world.
Gotcha. I have read Schoria and Rubricora stories and really likes them. These omnipotent dragons are very fun characters. The only thing i would want to add is to show off their size and width since both Rubri and Schoria are not only towering, but hyper muscular as well. Othen than that, great stories.
