For one as renowned as Elynora, the lack of socialization was one of the few things that somewhat irked her. Granted, not in the standard sense, she rarely felt like she had any meaningful connection with anyone before her sudden shift into a dark witch. No, it was the lack of consistent individuals for her to enjoy the pain and suffering of that truly annoyed her, especially after her so educational run in with Marigold. She’d get the occasional adventurer or nar do well she could dominate and that sated her, but especially during the months of the hallows eve, she rarely had anyone get successfully far enough into the Mystic forest for her to nab and do what she wanted with!

So, she instead often went to them! With it being the time her powers were at their strongest, she had no issue leaving her forest tower and making her way through it to the various outlying villages. And thanks to her reputation, she often had easy targets to pull back with her too! Those that left her abode or came into contact with her were said to be ‘cursed’, and thus would always eventually disappear if they weren’t especially careful. This rumor began due to marking most of those she saw or tormented with her dark magic, and then during these times of ‘low intake’, she’d happily go find them and drag them back with her into the woods. She got away with it pretty handily too, due to most (especially during this time of year) not wanting to ever believe THEY would be the ones that would see her. So whenever she was spotted along her respective path, most assumed she was just an individual wearing a very VERY good costume.

That was part of the traditions during this time after all, to wear as scary of a costume as possible to terrify the lesser demons, while making the higher level ones think you’re one of them. That’s the idea of it anyway, if everyone’s dressed up, then nobody can be taken away, since the evil spirits won’t know who to choose! Unfortunately for those that were touched by her, what they looked like was completely irrelevant. She asked them to do a task for her, they ran away from that task, now they were offerings to her dark lord (once she had her fun with them at least)! A quite simple exchange she would often even tell them, and yet, some just really wanted to make sure they were her sacrifices. She appreciated it at least though, made it so she never really had to worry about ‘making him angry’, she always had people like this in reserve!

And now was the perfect time to go get them. She’d simply wander through the various cities she’d visit, getting complemented on just how perfectly she followed the look of Elynora on her wanted posters. She’d give a smile, strike a pose and sometimes even use her magic to reposition the feathers of her wings, giving the illusion of fingers as she’d give a partial salute to them and thank them. They’d all get marked, she’d be on her way, and she’d find an individual cowering away in their home, trying to desperately hold onto their lives another year. She’d shift through the shadows, pop up, they’d scream, she’d drag them into the darkness with her dark lord given spectral appendages, and then she’d be off to the next target she happened to fancy.

It was a good system, effortless for her and fulfilling. She’d usually grab about 2-3 individuals, sometimes up to 5 if she was REALLY feeling devious, or if her dark lord was feeling hungry. Then she’d head back, pull them out of the darkness and string them up, have all the fun she truly wanted, and then offer them on Hallows Eve night to satiate another year of service to his dark majesty. It all just felt so right, especially getting all the various complements. She was truly special, and it felt nice to be around when the world truly knew that. It made her heart sing, just as much as the screams of the damned that filled the air during her ritual. Always music to her ears, especially when they came from those who were partaking in the ritual with her <3.

EEEE! ; v ; I begin my spooky month posting! Though, I will say, for now it's just gonna be this. I have a good bit more in store, but I'm gonna fully admit I'm extremely tired. Went out with the fam yesterday and think I'm still recovering, as this plus a couple other things I wrote out got me insanely pooped. So instead of trying to force any more of it out (I did for a bit, but holy heck I'm just feeling exhausted =v=;), I'm just gonna try and get some actual rest (shocker) this evening, and see if I can't get at it tomorrow. If nothing else, I got one more weekend to work with! ; v ; b so we shall see!

BUT enough about that, THIS IMAGE IS SO GOOD! ; v; I finally got into the lovely Budoti's commission list, and was able to get Elynora in their respective style! ; v; . They look so friggen good, I really wanted to show off Elynora with the 'hand wings', since I thought that would just look cool, and I'm super stoked to both have that AND have my lovely owl villainess done up by an artist that does owl's so beautifully ; v ; . She just looks soooo nice, with the lil fuzz and the well drawn cartoony feathers and all, I just adore this artistic style for her ; v ; . She looks just great, equally as fantastic with all her proportions/thiccness in check :3c and still adore her outfit toooo. Happy to have her shown off during this lovely spooky month! (and as stated, hope to have more of my Hallows Eve ideas to share within the week! ; v;b ) .
