As I normally make lots of Pokemon drawings, I was thinking... the simplest Pokemon to draw is Ditto! And it's even simpler to just draw its face.
And I normally use watercolour paint a lot as well. The simplest way to make a paper one colour, is to use watercolours.
So this is the outcome!
The watercolour paper I used is quite coarse, so painting it in this way makes the paper structure really visible.
