The Extron Control Professional – ECP certification equips AV professionals with the skills needed to design and configure customized control systems using Extron technologies. The program emphasizes practical application through realistic AV scenarios, including matrix switching, access control, and automation techniques, preparing individuals to support a wide range of AV environments.
Delivery Method
Instructor-Led
The instructor-led format provides guided instruction on key concepts in AV control system configuration using Extron control software. Participants follow a structured curriculum with opportunities for hands-on practice and instructor support. This format introduces foundational and advanced topics such as user interface design, system architecture, and automation, with a focus on practical application in AV environments.
To complete this comprehensive certification, participants will complete:
- ECP Instructor-Led
The certification process concludes with a timed practical exam.
Online Self-Paced
The self-paced online format provides AV professionals with a flexible and structured opportunity to build confidence and competence in configuring Extron control systems. Through structured, interactive modules, participants will engage with Extron Global Configurator to build and deploy AV control systems. The experience incorporates elements such as matrix switching, passcode-protected access, and timer-based automation, all within realistic AV scenarios that reinforce practical application.
This certification includes a series of progressive courses that build foundational and advanced skills in AV control system deployment:
- Control Principles
- Increasing Layout Efficiency with GUI Designer
- Configuring with Global Configurator Plus
- Extron Configuration for Enhanced System Control
Participants will complete all coursework at their own pace and demonstrate their knowledge through a hands-on exercises and multiple-choice quizzes. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to enroll in a final proctored exam to earn certification.
This online certification is currently offered in English only.
