Hey all, I am new to Linux. I have been trying to get familiar for about 3 weeks now.
I wanted to test drive Ubuntu. So, recently, I tried to install Ubuntu Desktop on an old Windows 10 Pro computer. But during the installation process, there was no option to install along with Windows. The only option was to erase, I guess the current OS and install Ubuntu. I don't want that. Isn't possible to have both OS?
I have been looking for solutions  from the internet but I have not been able to resolved this issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post another image of Disk Management showing the HDD Disk chart. Probably Disk 1.

I was looking for the graphic of the HDD as shown. You should have Disk 0 listed showing C: and your other two partitions.

The reason you cannot install linux alongside Windows is because there is no unallocated space available. You will need a third party partition manager to shrink your C: Partition and then move the 518MB partition next to the shrunk C: Partition. You should backup any important data first as there is always a chance things go wrong during a partition resize and move.

Once you have the unallocated space, Ubuntu should give you the option to install alongside Windows. I would shrink the C: partition by 100GB so the final size of C: will be about 365GB. This will give you 100GB or unallocated space at the end of the HDD.

Your CPU is very weak so you may not find Ubuntu very fast. Usually, people moving from Window will install Linux Mint vs Ubuntu.

Ok, thanks much. Can you recommend a third party partition manager? I guess I would encounter the same problem if I tried to install Linux Mint, right?

Yes, you would get the same problem. Aoemi Partition Assistant Standard Free should allow you to shrink and move partitions. All steps are virtual until you click on Apply which allows you to back out of any errors. You shrink a partition by grabbing the end of the partition bar by left clicking and then dragging. For moving a partition you click on the bar itself and drag.

https://www.diskpart.com/help/move-partition.html

This video show how to click and drag. In your case you would grab the right end of the bar and drag to the left to resize the C: Partition. After resize you would then move the 500MB partition to the left until it hits the resized C partition which would then give you unalloated space on the end of the HDD
