Hi correiar,
There might be a JS error on the page preventing the box from working properly.. can you double check there is no other plugin is causing this ? and possibly attach a screenshot of the page ?
Thanks,
Shady
Here is a link to a screen shot when I click on the Authors & Roles drop-down.
I have 25 plugins activated, so not sure where a conflict might exist. I scanned the logs, but not sure where can I trap a a JS error?
It seems that the conflict is not in JS since the box is working, but not styled correctly, which might be a styling conflict instead.
The easiest method to to debug this is to disable your plugins one by one till you find the conflicting plugin.
And.. be sure you’re using the latest Stream version as well.
Looks like the conflict is with NextGen Gallery version 2.0.61. Once it is deactivated all the exclude drop-down boxes format properly. This is a key plugin for our camera club.
Cool, I’ll look into the conflict and try to solve it, if we can do so from Stream.
Thanks for reporting this and making Stream better!
By the way, I am using the latest Stream version (1.3.1)
By temporarily deactivating the NGG plugin, I was able to configure the proper Stream exclusions, then reactivated the NGG plugin and Stream is doing it’s thing.
It’s a simple workaround that is a bit of a nuisance but not a hindrance.
Cheers,
Roger
Good to hear you solved it, we’ve fixed the issue in our master branch on Stream Github repo, you’re welcome to download the zipball with the fix included.
Or you can wait for the new version, should be released soon.
/five!
Shady
Thanks for handling this, Shady. The fix has been applied to master so I’m marking this resolved. It will be included in the next release.
Thanks for the prompt response and resolution gents. Great plugin! Just what I was looking for to stay on top of changes to our site.
Any plans in the future to add an export to CSV function?
Keep up the good work!
Roger
I just applied the 1.4.1 upgrade to the plugin and the Exclude fields now display properly. However, after the upgrade, I lost my historical data in my stream.
This is the first upgrade I have done since installing the plugin. Is it supposed to retain your historical data?
Please advise. thanks…
Roger
Yes it should retain your historical data, and your data is probably still there in database, Stream just might not be able to display it because the database upgrade did not go smooth.
Can you tell me what version did you upgrade from, so i can reproduce the error ?
Thanks,
Shady
I upgraded from the most recent version, 1.3.1
Roger
The issue has been resolved and an update should be out shortly.
Thanks for your patience, and sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you.
Shady
This issue has been resolved in 1.4.2 that was just released: http://wordpress.org/plugins/stream/changelog/
Please update Stream and run the Database Update when prompted.
