• Non-intuitive, makes it difficult to work with other editors, Divi Builder being one of examples – had to install additional plugin to work with it, still cumbersone). While everything looks beautiful, it is not user-friendly, especially to those who have a habit of old-style editors. Perhaps the millennials who are touching WP for the first time would use it, but I would give it 0 stars if I could. Boggles my mind that some people gave it 5 stars – and it seems that bunch of bad reviews have 5 stars on them. I don’t even think it was a mistake, it’s a conspiracy! LOL. Kill it, please!

  • One of the things that came up in our user research is that, whilst the new editor works well for new users, learning a new editing paradigm is especially challenging for those who’ve been using WordPress a long time. It’s always an investment having to learn a new tool or approach, and we haven’t clearly outlined the potential benefits of a new editor to long-time users just yet!

Smoothing that transition is something I’d love to see us do. Do you have any specific feedback on what you’ve found difficult, or what you think would help to make that transition friendlier?

Divi has been working on improving integration with Gutenberg (see https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/divi-resources/gutenberg-and-the-new-divi-builder-experience for more!). If you’re still having issues, it would be great to share more information with us or with Divi’s support.
