In order to set the duration of the membership or recurring payment for a group in ProfileGrid, you may use the ProfileGrid extension “WooCommerce Subscription Integration”, it automatically adds User to the ProfileGrid group(s) when WooCommerce subscription is purchased by the user. Automatically remove the User from the ProfileGrid group(s) when the subscription expires. I am planning a site where users will buy annual membership plans to create a community.
Most of the activities of the community will be offline, e.g. seminars, workshops, conferences, etc. Nothing will be sold online, only the membership database has to be maintained online along with payment history of each member.
So, for this project Woocommerce and its paid plugin Subscription plugin will be an overkill.
