Sorting playerlist on name not as expected

Hi,

Thank you for the great plugin. Been using it for several years now and ik keeps gettin better.

Yesterdag I ran into the following:
In the playerlist screen I used to have sorting of a playerlist on Squad Number (Column #) an that works fine.
After changing the sorting to Naam (Column Player) the numbers in column # changed to a ranking sequence (in backend and frontend).
Clicking “Adjustments” suddenly shows the players’ squad numbers. Front end keeps showing sequence numbering, though.

This is not the behaviour I expected. Documentation says :

When the “Sort by” setting is “Squad Number” or “Name”, the first column is used for displaying squad numbers. Otherwise, this column is dedicated to player rank based on the value of that statistic.

Is there maybe some other setting that I overlooked?
