Recommend Media Cleaner

I have issues with my site crashing. I’m concerned it may have to do with the tons of photographs in my library, many of which I know are not in use. I downloaded the free version of PW Image Cleaner plugin, but it just scans continuously and never does anything. Have you used an Image Cleaner you can recommend?
