Thirded, broken in 4.2.2 as well.
I switched to the plugin called “Backend Localization” and was back in business. Works fine in wordpress 4.2.2 and I can see the backend in arabic or english. Also works on wordpress multisite 3.9.2

Unusable since 4.2.2.
The backend language selector messes with the site language selector in WordPress settings.
I hope this will be fixed. I was using this plugin for all my sites.
