PHP warning Attempt to read property “id” on null

    Robin… my site is suffering from numerous warnings thus:

    Warning: Attempt to read property "id" on null in /home/[...]/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-template.php on line 558

    I posted on the BuddyPress XProfile Custom Image plugin site and have been advised

    The bp-xprofile part of the link in the error message indicates that the issue is in the BP Xprofile component. You may be accessing Profile fields outside of the template loop.

    Could this be down to this plugin bbp buddypress profile information ?

    If not, where should I take it, please?

    the function they quote is bp_get_the_profile_field_id which is not used in my plugin, so I cannot say for definite.

    I presume you are just seeing these in a log file, rather than on the site, and therefore cannot say when or on what action they happen?

    The only way to eliminate it would be deactivate the plugin and see if the error disappears.
