Not showing up in Search
-
I have added both the Google Site Kit and Yoast. I have submitted the site maps and confirmed that everything is properly unchecked/unchecked to allow search engines. 39 pages are indexed and all show as Green on Yoast, but none are searchable. Was submitted to Google 10/25 (It is now 11/5)
Appreciate any ideas on what the problem is. Thank you so much! The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Searching Google for
site:https://firstrealjob.com/
shows that Google has indexed your site. What do you see on Google Search Console?-

Steven Stern (sterndata).
Be very aware that Google won’t show your site high in the results straight away. It can take months or years of serious SEO to get that done. Remember that there’s several 1000’s of other sites trying to rank for the same as your site, and they are all older, bigger and have more backlinks and authority.
SEO is a long game, especially for popular keywords. Be prepared for it to take a long time and need a lot of work.
I hope you well. You’ve taken all the right steps to make your site searchable, but Google indexing can sometimes take longer than expected. Here are some things you can check or try:
- URL Inspection Tool: In Google Search Console, use the URL Inspection Tool for specific pages. This lets you see if Google has crawled them and any potential issues. You can also request indexing here, though it doesn’t guarantee immediate indexing.
- Coverage Report: Check the Coverage Report in Search Console to see if there are any crawl errors or indexing issues that could be blocking your pages.
- Page Load and Mobile Compatibility: Google prefers mobile-friendly and fast-loading pages. Running your site through PageSpeed Insights and ensuring mobile compatibility might help.
- Content Quality and Updates: Sometimes Google indexes sites faster if they detect frequent updates. Adding fresh content or updating a few pages might signal Google to revisit.
- Check for Any Blocked Resources: Make sure your
robots.txt
file and any meta tags are not accidentally blocking important pages or resources that Googlebot needs. - Use External Links to Drive Crawls: Sometimes a few relevant external links from sites Google crawls frequently can speed up the indexing process.
If Google still doesn’t start indexing soon, there may be a deeper issue, and we could try some advanced troubleshooting with your website’s technical SEO. Let me know if that sounds helpful!
@sterndata @subrata-deb-nath @catacaustic Thank you… Appreciate the advice. As a first timer, I think I am missing something. It seems as though pages are indexed (according to the search console there are 41 pages indexed), but Google cannot crawl. Even when you put a request to got to firstrealjob.com into the Google Search box. It does not recognize that such a page exists. https://www.google.com/search?q=firstrealjob.com&rlz=1C1ONGR_enUS1055US1055&oq=&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCQgAECMYJxjqAjIJCAAQIxgnGOoCMgkIARAjGCcY6gIyCQgCECMYJxjqAjIJCAMQIxgnGOoCMgkIBBAjGCcY6gIyCQgFECMYJxjqAjIJCAYQIxgnGOoCMgkIBxAjGCcY6gLSAQkyMjI2ajBqMTWoAgiwAgE&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
What do you see when you login to Google Search Console?
It shows that there are 41 pages indexed. No core web vitals. Sitemaps all seem to be working. Is there something specific I should look at?
When I do the URL inspection it says the URL is on google and is a green check for page indexing, https, breadcrumbs and sitelinks search box. When I look under insights it says nothing under Google search and notes no data available

Then I suggest you ask in a Google Search group as your site is indexed.
Thank you- do you know where I can find a google search group? I am trying the groups on the analytics and search console pages. If a robot is blocking, do you know how I can address in WordPress? When I checked the Robots.txt files it says:
User-Agent: *
Disallow:
Is that the problem? If so, do you know the fix in wordpress?-

Thank you! I was following up on all of the earlier suggestions on the search console pages. If a robot is blocking, do you know how I can address in WordPress? When I checked the Robots.txt files it says:
User-Agent: *
Disallow:
Is that the problem? If so, do you know the fix in wordpress? That’s fine.
It looks like there are quite a few nonindexed pages that seemed to be created back in April/May/June…. before I purchased the domain. Not sure if that is impacting the site or if there is anyway I can get rid of those pages? Based on the URL they could have been spammy a few examples… https://firstrealjob.com/product/iphone-10s/, https://firstrealjob.com/2017/11/21/wordpress-post-formats-video-soundcloud/, https://firstrealjob.com/2022/11/28/how-to-store-a-stroller/feed/
