• I am using DirectAdmin cpanel. I have the WordPress plugin installed through Softaculous. When I load the website the message ‘upload your website into the public_html directory’. I attempted removing the index.html and editing the index.php and .htaccess files which results in either error or a white screen. Plugins have been reinstalled and updated.

    Any help is tremendously appreciated!

I suppose you mean DirectAdmin control panel? There is DirectAdmin, and there is cPanel — two independent and rival hosting control panels.

Anyway, it sounds like you don’t have the correct path to your WordPress installation.

What do you see in your public_html folder?

Also, you said, “Plugins have been reinstalled and updated”. Did you do this from the WordPress admin dashboard? If so, what exact address do you see in the browser while in the dashboard? Are you able to share a screenshot?

    Hello!

Yes, DirectAdmin. Thank you for the clarification.

Unfortunately I am unable to post a screenshot. In the public_html folder there are two folders (cgi-bin and wp), error message .html (400,401,403,404,and 500), index.html, and logo.png.

I reinstalled WordPress from Directdmin control panel. The plugins on WordPress were deactivated, reactivated, and updated.

https://boatsongs.net/wp/wp-admin/ is the address I see while in the dashboard.

    Thanks the assistance!
