Hi @jasonmac_75,
Thanks for your message.
So to clarify a few points:
1. You’d like to override the default notification that sends out when a new user registers on one of your sub-sites: is this correct?
2. If so, is it the admin or the user notification that you’d like to customise?
3. Do you want it to go to the sub-site admin or the network admin?
1: Yes on one site the new user registration is in English and the other site the notification needs to be in Spanish.
2: I have user registration disabled as Admin manually add users before sending activation link, so its the user notification message i would like to change as it isn’t very user friendly. ie Howdy USERNAME, to a client doesn’t look great π
For instance x1 will be Hola USERNAME and the other Hello USERNAME.
3: The admin emails for the moment just need to go to one admin email address.
I’m basically trying to make the user sign up message easier as some customers seem to be finding it difficult to either activate the account and don’t realise the password email had arrived or been sent.
I have set up a woocommerce wholesale group with rights to see the product prices once registered.

Hi @jasonmac_75,
In that case, you just need to install BNFW at the network level and add language-specific ‘New User Registration – For User’ notifications on each of the sites. I.e. on the Spanish site, create a new user notification in Spanish and on the English site, create one in English.
Does this help?
Hi,
I’ve installed this at network level and added each language-specific βNew User Registration but don’t get the updated email, it just sends me the default network New User Registration email.
I’ve also selected – Notification Disabled
Thanks
Jason

Hi @jasonmac_75,
So it doesn’t send the notification from the sub-sites in the network, only from the network-level site. Is that correct?

Hi @jasonmac_75,
Is the default notification being sent or no notification at all?
Are you using the latest version of BNFW and WordPress?
Do you have any plugins that might be causing a conflict with this, such as a registration / members plugin? In testing this was working so wonder if something else is preventing the notification from being sent.
I’m still getting the default notification.
The plugin that could be causing conflict might be Theme My Login, which I use for custom login pages, redirection after login and then restrictions plugin from the same author.

Hi @jasonmac_75,
Yes! I bet that’s the problem.
Can you try using the site without that plugin (or replace it) and let me know if you still have the issue?

Hello,
I would like to reopen this thread as I experience the exact same issue. I have a multisite and a forum (Asgaros Forum) where users have to register in order to write in the forum.
So if someone registers on one of the multisite subsites as forum user (on domain.tld/wp-signup.php default page), the user will get the default WP-email for new user registrations where he can activate the account by click and he gets his password shown on the website.
I have to edit this email as its a bit short and anonymous and has no privacy policy or legal notice link inside.
If the user then clicked on the link and activated his account, he gets 2 emails! The defauls post-registration email from WP and my custom BNFW user-post-registration-email which I also configured. How can I disable the WP-default email? Again, its very anonymous and it has the password in cleartext inside (nogo in times of the GDPR β¦)
