Needs PHP requirements in main plugin file
-
Hi… I have a client whose site went down today because it was running PHP 7.4, and it appears an auto-update of Animations for Blocks was the culprit.
I see that the PHP requirements are in the
readme.txt
file, but I believe for WordPress to detect the requirements and prevent auto-update on unsupported systems, that also needs to be specified in the header of the plugin’s main PHP file.My understanding — although I could be wrong — is that the header info in the readme file is used by the WordPress Plugin Directory, but WordPress itself reads the plugin details from the main PHP file.
