Hi there!
First of all, in the admin Dashboard, go to Tainacan > System Check and see if everything looks ok there.
Check if your permalinks are working well, with something other than the default value selected. (you must have beautiful permalinks, such as mysite.com/post-name
instead of mysite.com?p=123
)
Do you have a link we can look at?
Thanks for the prompt reply!
1. Checked permalinks: it is set to https://istardb.org/sample-post/
2. Checked Tainacan System Check, only issues are:
(Yellow) PHP Modules
The optional module imagick is not installed, or has been disabled. This is used, among other things, to automatically extract the first page of PDFs to use as a thumbnail.
(Yellow) PHP Maximum execution time
Your current configuration is 30 seconds. This is fine, but you should consider increase it to at least 240 seconds if possible
Some Tainacan features, such as import processes, may need a little extra time to run. It is a good idea to set the PHP maximum execution time to a bigger value than the default, although this is not mandatory. If you see a “Maximum execution time of XX seconds exceeded” in any error log, then you shoud definitely do it.
3. I looked at the Javascript Console: and noticed this:
user_search-components.js:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()
When I go the the single item page or collections page they work:
https://istardb.org/collections/
https://istardb.org/aer-publications/paper-4
However, here it does not
https://istardb.org/aer-publications/
Thanks in advance
There seems to be something wrong with your installation since the js files are not there.
Have you installed it from the Admin panel? Or did you manually download it? (note: if you download it from Github and upload it will not work).
Please try reinstalling the plugin. Some files are missing. No data will be lost.
We installed it from the WP Admin panel.
We will reinstall and see how it goes.
Many many thanks for your prompt replies and help!
Ok! A re-install has brought it back to life!
Although Safari is still having issues probably a persistent cache, Chrome however, is working fine.
Hopefully Safari will sort itself out soon.
Thanks again for your help with this!
